Dear Patients,

As of May 18th, 2020, we have returned to routine dental care at our office in accordance with the guidelines set by Governor Inslee and the recommendations of the Washington State Dental Association and the CDC. If you had an appointment postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic or are due for a visit please call our office and we will be happy to accommodate you. (206) 935-4611

While we have always prioritized safety, we have several new measures to further protect our patients and staff.

• If you are exhibiting any flu-like symptoms, fever, sore throat, or recent loss of taste or smell, we request you postpone treatment until you are symptom free for a minimum of 72 hours.

• Please arrive only a few minutes before your scheduled appointment time to allow for physical distancing in the waiting room. If you prefer, you may wait in your car - just let us know when you have arrived and we'll call or text when we're ready to bring you back.

• Please bring a mask to wear into the waiting room.

• A plexiglass barrier has been setup at the front desk.

• We ask you to wash or sanitize your hands when you arrive.

• All patients will be given a special mouthwash prior to dental treatment and your temperature will be checked to confirm the absence of fever.

• All of our operatories and the waiting room have special HEPA air purifiers with UV sanitiation.

• Aerosol reducing devices are available in all our operatories and will be used during appointments that require drills or ultrasonic scalers.

• All staff members will be wearing additional personal protective equipment.

While the COVID-19 pandemic has brought changes to all of our lives, we continue to be here to serve you with the same care and professionalism as always. We thank you for being patients at our office and we look forward to seeing you soon at your next dental visit.

Sincerely,

Kyle A. Smits DDS & Staff
